Saturday – “It’s All About Balance” Inside Flow Workshop Day with Ami Norton
10:00-12:00 – “It’s all about Balance” – Vinyasa Alignment for Stability
Balance - Alignment - Strength
Strength and flexibility, lightness and stability – both in the yoga practice and in life we often strive for balance between two polarities – a "sweet spot" (or healthy middle). In this vinyasa alignment workshop, we look at the interplay between these apparently opposing qualities, play with balance on the mat and observe what comes up when things get wobbly. This workshop is designed to give you a solid foundation in alignment so that you can flow through your vinyasa or Inside Flow practice with more confidence. In this way, you practice finding inner and outer balance – both on and off the mat.
13:30-15:30 – “It’s all about Balance” – Inside Flow Workshop (2h)
In this workshop, we continue to play with the concept of balance in Inside Flow. Inside Flow is an evolution of vinyasa yoga that uses music to take the yoga practice deeper. In this workshop, Ami combines her years of dance experience with her passion for yoga to guide you through creative, flowing sequences to a playlist of modern music. Your body, your breath, and your movements become intertwined with no beginning and no end. By building up a sequence of yoga asanas bit by bit, you will dive into a state of flow – directing your gaze from the outside inward and deepening the connection to yourself.
Sunday “Open Your Heart” Inside Flow Workshop Day with Ami Norton
9:30-11:30 – “Open Your Heart” Alignment for Feel-Good Backbends (2h)
Backbends, or heart-openers, are a favourite amongst many yogis and yoginis. Whether in a flow or static hold, opening up the front side of the body not only has a positive effect on your posture but your mood too. And when you find the optimal alignment for your own body (what feels good, rather than looks “good” 😉), they can create a unique feeling of freedom and also give you space to open up to yourself and others. In this workshop, we will look at the anatomy of the spine and the alignment of different back-bending asanas. You’ll learn how to prepare your body for backbends and cultivate strength and flexibility where you need it – so that you can feel into that open heart, not just on but off the mat too ❤️

In this Inside Flow workshop, you’ll take all that openness into your flow!

For both Inside Flow fans and Inside Flow newbies (general yoga knowledge is important, however). Registered Inside Flow teachers receive 2 TRCs for the workshop. Please enter this when booking your spot.
